MES art and science exhibition attracts thousands of visitors

MES Indian School Ruby Jubilee Art & Science Exhibition attracted more than 8,000 visitors over two days. The two day event featured a number of exhibits including working models and reflected experiments of science, representing cultural diversity, humanities, computer science and home science respectively.
Dr Ma’an Al Ani, Nuclear & Laser Bio-Photonic Scientist, USA, the chief guest, inaugurated the art and science expo at the Girls’ Section of the school. The valedictory function was held at the KG auditorium of the school. “I am confident enough that these kids will be able to serve the crucial problems of tomorrow with their innovation revolution,” remarked Dr Ma’an Al Ani.  
“Science, the propeller of today’s society and art, the pursuit of beauty and creativity have come under one roof in MES Art and Science Exhibition”, observed K P Abdul Azeez, General Secretary, MES Governing Board on the occasion.
“In a world of unprecedented set of challenges and scarcity of grand scale resources, we need an aspiring generation of students like this to meet the stumbling blocks of the age,” said Dr Rekha S Pillai, Director, Programmes, Qatar National Research Fund, Qatar Foundation and the guest of honour on the valedictory function.
“I am proud to know that MES educates the students to be project based to practice their learning without pushing them to be bookworms in vain,”  Margie Rae Jackson, Consultant, Supreme Education Council and the guest of honour on the valedictory function said.
“The budding scientists of MES Indian School have once again proved that the path of success is not easy but taste of success is sweet. The blend of art, science and education led to innovations unlimited”, remarked Sasidharan A P, Principal.
The special attractions of the exhibition were a rare collection of live reptiles exhibited by thedepartment of biology, jungle zone created by the department of fine arts, ‘Study of Life’ a thematic display by department of humanities, ‘World of Home Science’ by the department of home science, Robotic Crane by the computer science department and unity in diversity, presented jointly by the various Departments of languages.
