Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) recently organised a workshop on research ethics with participation of more than 150 individuals.
The workshop was joined by members of research review committees, physicians and allied health practitioners from Hamad Medical Corporation, Primary Healthcare Corporation, Ministry of Public Health, Qatar Biobank, Qatar Biomedical Research Institute, Anti-Doping Lab Qatar, Carnegie Mellon University Qatar, Georgetown University, Qatar University, University of Calgary Qatar, Virginia Commonwealth University Qatar, Weill Cornell Medicine Qatar, Sidra Medical and Research Center and Aspetar.
The three-day workshop at Hilton Doha- Qatar addressed topics including an overview of the criteria for research approval, paediatric research, conflicts of interest, informed consent.
