Doha: Alanaam factory for Animal Production has announced a 15% discount on a selected range of meat products in the Qatari market during the holy month of Ramadan 2025, said Shamlan Alavadhi, Executive Manager of Wathnan Holding, the parent company of Alanaam factory.

He highlighted that the factory has prepared for the season by importing 23,100 head of livestock, including 10,600 Colombian calves, 2,500 camels, and 10,000 Arabi and Somali sheep, to support the local market amid increasing demand for livestock during Ramadan.

Alavadhi revealed the arrival of the second batch of Colombian calves, totaling 6,000 heads, for the first time directly from Colombia. This shipment complements the first batch of 4,600 calves, bringing the total cattle stock to 10,600 heads. Meanwhile, preparations are underway for the third batch shipment, in response to the high local demand.

He emphasized that Alanaam Factory is committed to diversifying its meat sources by importing cattle from Colombia, known for the high quality of its meat due to its reliance on natural grazing pastures. Simultaneously, the factory is enhancing its strategic stock of livestock, chilled meat, and animal feed while maintaining a strong supply chain by sourcing from multiple countries. The imported livestock meets the highest quality standards and health regulations, ensuring competitive pricing and a variety of options for consumers. Meanwhile, Alanaam Factory for Animal Production plays a crucial role in supporting food security in Qatar.

Alavadhi noted that as part of the factory’s expansion plan, four new branches have recently opened in Al Manaseer, Al Wajba, South Khalifa City, and Al Gharrafa. Additionally, it aims to further expand locally to capitalize on growth opportunities and meet the increasing demand for meat.
