The Westin Doha  Hotel and Spa has recently appointed Pawichada Thanaphibun as chef de cuisine of Sabai Thai restaurant, bringing with her a wealth of experience from some of the top Thai restaurants in five-star hotels.

Pawichada discovered her passion for food and cooking at a young age and was inspired by her grandmother, whom she learnt all the techniques of authentic Thai cuisine. Starting her career in 1999 in Thailand, she then moved to several restaurants in the GCC gaining significant experience before moving to join The Westin Doha Hotel and Spa in early 2018.

 

 

The restaurant offers a wide variety of authentic tastes of Royal Thai cuisine focusing on textures and flavors from the four grand regions of Thailand. The menu consists of an assortment of salads, soups, appetizers, meat, seafood, and deserts.

Commenting on the appointment, Rui Eduardo, Director of Food & Beverage of  The Westin Doha Hotel & Spa, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Pawichada to the team and we are so happy with the new innovative concepts that have been introduced since her arrival”.

“We have recently launched the Phuket BBQ nights every Thursday at Waves pool, the Royal Thai brunch every Saturday and lastly the three-course Express Thai lunch available from Sunday to Thursday in a great value of QR65,” he added.

Sabai Thai restaurant is located in the outside area of The Westin Doha Hotel & Spa, next to the gardens and is open daily from 12pm until 3pm for lunch – except on Saturday from 12noon until 4pm for the brunch -  and for dinner from 7pm until 11pm.
