Doha: The State of Qatar participated in the 19th meeting of Executive Committee of the Middle East Green Initiative (MGI), held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
This participation reflects the country's commitment to supporting regional and international efforts to address climate change and promote joint action to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.

Qatar was represented at the meeting by Assistant Undersecretary for Climate Change Affairs of the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Engineer Ahmad Mohammed Al Sada.
During the meeting, the latest developments in the implementation of the MGI were reviewed, along with mechanisms to enhance regional cooperation in the areas of climate action, environmental protection, and supporting sustainability efforts in the region.
The MGI is a regional initiative launched by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It aims to mitigate the impacts of climate change in the region and promote joint action to contribute to achieving global climate action goals.
