Doha, Qatar: Director of Media Development Department at Qatar Media Corporation (QMC), Sheikh Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, honoured Al Jazeera correspondent in Gaza Wael Al Dahdouh. He offered condolences on martyrdom of the journalist's wife, his two sons Hamza and Mahmoud, his daughter Sham, and his grandson Adam.
Sheikh Khalid also reassured the health of Al Dahdouh, who is receiving treatment in Doha, following the injury he suffered while reporting in Gaza, stressing his full support and solidarity with the family, and providing all forms of support to them.
Sheikh Khalid appreciated Al Dahdouh’s exceptional work and his bravery along with Al Jazeera teams, media professionals and journalists, during the distinguished media coverage of the repercussions of the aggression on Gaza.
Sheikh Khalid noted the great sacrifices rendered by media professionals and journalists in Gaza, and the martyrdom and injury of hundreds of them, as a price for conveying the truth and the repercussions of the aggression on the residents of the Gaza Strip.

He said the efforts of journalists and media professionals working under the siege and aggression against Gaza have had a significant impact globally with showing what is happening on the ground, including crimes against journalists and civilians. Al Dahdouh thanked Sheikh Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al Thani.
He stressed the commitment to adhere to professionalism, and that his injury will not stop his determination to return to the field for coverage after completing his medical treatment.
