Doha, Qatar: The Department of Zakat Affairs at the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs has opened a new hall to receive applications from public for assistance.
Director of the Zakat Affairs Department Saad bin Omran Al Kuwari said that the new reception hall accommodates a larger number of visitors.
He said that the department is also keen to increase the number of employees to process fast the requests for assistance. Al Kuwari explained that the department receives visitors weekly on Mondays and Wednesdays during official working hours in the morning shift.
He said that the department responds to their inquiries about assistance submitted through the department’s website or the department’s application on smart devices, in addition to receiving the missing documents required from the visitors to complete his documents.
The Director of the Zakat Affairs Department noted that the entrance to the new hall to receive visitors is located on the western side of the Department building.
