DOHA: The RasLaffan Industrial City Community Outreach Programme has partnered with Toastmasters International Qatar (TIQ) to provide leadership and communication workshops for Qatari students in Al Khor and neighbouring areas.
Sessions will be conducted by Toastmaster officials and to teach youth (male and female) on how to enhance communication skills and leadership qualities.
The programme aims to train participants on how to start their gavel clubs for girls and boys and adults to encourage participation of a diverse group of individuals.
TIQ has adopted Abdullah Bin Ali Al Misnad School, Independent Secondary School for Boys and Al Khor Independent Secondary School for Girls which have given support to successfully implement the workshops on their premises.
The workshops will conclude with a grand finale, where students will present their newly honed skills in front of parents and teachers.
World Champion of Public Speaking 2015 TM Mohammed Qahthani from Saudi Arabia and first runner-up Aditya Maheshwaran of India and Champion Speaker of the Middle East in Humorous and International Category TM Mohammed Al Eisa will be invited to motivate the youth and present their winning speeches. The programme will also include communication and leadership workshops to meet the needs of teachers who will also be trained on how to further improve their capabilities.
