Doha, Qatar: Apple has responded to complaints that its first folding iPhone, iPhone Duo, has developed issue impacting the inner display along the hinge where it folds.
The company, in a statement to Reuters, said, "We are aware of an issue impacting the inner display on a small number of iPhone Duo units. If users experience issues with their iPhone Duo display, they should contact AppleCare for replacement."
The company did not reveal what was causing the issue or how many units had been affected.
9to5Mac published the full statement, which read: "The response to iPhone Duo from early users has been incredibly positive, and we are seeing exciting things from developers who are rapidly updating their apps to take advantage of its unique form factor. We are aware of an issue impacting the inner display on a small number of iPhone Duo units. If users experience issues with their iPhone Duo display, they should contact AppleCare for a replacement."
Within days of its launch, owners shared pictures of damaged displays on Reddit and other online forums.
One Reddit user said the phone's display cracked within six hours of purchase and after fewer than 20 folds.
