Doha: Under the chairmanship of H E Saad bin Sherida Al Kaabi, Minister of State for Energy Affairs, the Board of Directors of Qatar Electricity and Water Company (QEWC) yesterday approved the financial results for the nine months ended on September 30, 2022.
QEWC reported a revenue of QR1.911bn, an increase of 4 percent compared to QR1.840bn during the same period in 2021. Operating profits grew by 17 percent to QR931m from QR796m during the same period last year. This resulted in a net profit attributable to the equity holders of the company of QR1.250bn, an increase of 6 percent compared to QR1.176bn in the same period last year. Earnings per share grew to QR1.14 from QR1.07 during the nine months ended on September 30, 2021.
QEWC recorded operational cash flows of QR873m, compared to operational cash flows of QR1.061bn during the same period in the previous year.
Total assets grew by 44 percent to QR26.541bn as at September 30, 2022, compared to QR18.490bn as at December 31, 2021.
