Interior ministry launches 15 new electronic services

Doha: The Ministry of Interior on Tuesday launched a set of new electronic services on its web site, in completion of the stages of technological development, according to the ministry's strategy in this area.
The 15 new services include some services provided by the General Directorate of Nationality, Passports and Expatriates Affairs and the others provided by General Directorate of Traffic.
The new services cover the areas of changing visa types, amending visa details, activating and renewal of e-Gate service, travel transaction enquiry, travel transaction record, issuing damages vehicles certificates, issuing vehicle clearance certificate, driving license, first owner certificate, ownership transfer, ownership certificate, significant plate number certificate, exported vehicle certificate and previously owned vehicle certificate.
Director General of General Directorate of Traffic Brigadier Mohamed Saad Al Kharji launched the new services.
The launch of these electronic services comes in the framework of Qatar's digital strategy which aims at expanding the services provision outlets and keeping pace with the technological development by employing the Internet, networks and software.
With the new services launched today, the number of electronic services offered by the Ministry of Interior to the individuals and organization has exceeded 50 electronic services in the different areas.
