ACC Under-16 Cricket: Hosts Qatar crash to third defeat

Doha: Hosts Qatar suffered their third successive defeat in the ACC Under-16 Criket Tournament.
Yesterday, at West End Park,  Afghanistan made short work of Qatar, winning by nine wickets chasing 63.
Earlier, Omar Sayeed’s (25) dismissal opened the gates for Afghanistan  and they cleaned up the next five wickets for no further addition, collapsing from 63 for 5.
Afghanistan’s spinners Qais Hassan and Sabir Mujahid took three wickets each.
Qatar play Kuwait in five nation championship.
Earlier in the day, Kuwait’s spinners took charge against Iran at the Mesaieed Ground to register a 101-run win.
Batting first, Kuwait scored 178.
The Kuwait top order all contributed, with Allen Thomas making a well-composed 66 off 97 deliveries,
He shone with the ball too taking 3 for 12 with his off-breaks as Iran were bundled out for 77.
