
DOHA: Qatar's Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritage in cooperation with the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO), will host a meeting for the standing committee on Arab culture at Hilton Doha Hotel on Tuesday to discuss the Arab decade for the cultural right.
Director of the Department of Heritage at the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritage Hamad Hamdan Al Mohannadi, who is Qatar's representative in the standing committee of Arab culture told Qatar News Agency (QNA) the meeting aims to develop perceptions and present Arab countries' proposals to adopt Arab contract for the cultural right.
He added that the meeting comes as part of implementing a call by the18th session of the conference of ministers responsible for cultural affairs in the Arab World which was held in Manama in November last year.
Al Mohannadi stressed that the19th session of the conference of ministers responsible for cultural affairs in the Arab World, which was held in Riyadh in January 2015, called for developing a perception of the Arab decade for the cultural right to replace the Arab decade for the cultural development 2005 – 2014.
