Doha: Stunning festivities that have evoked a festive atmosphere among visitors to Cultural Village Foundation  — Katara during the past three days of Eid Al Adha conclude today with distinctive closing festivities.
On a stage for a shadow show, opposite to the amphitheatre and equipped with lighting and sound technologies, 12 artists have performed in the past three days.
Performances by a Ukrainian band in three parts, each for 30 minutes starting at 7pm, 8pm and 9pm have stunned the audiences from different nationalities.
About the Ukraine band,  Anerban Rajish Said: “The spectacular show has turned Katara to a favourite destination for my two children in the past two days.
“I like the chronological order of the show, starting with silent art and turning into a shadows game prior to the start of the shadow theatre followed by fireworks.”
Fireworks display has been a major highlight of Eid celebrations at Katara where the large number of visitors head to the esplanade to watch the 10-minute activity that illuminates the skies of Katara in an enchanting colourful display.
Nora Khulaif, from Bahrain trying to aim her camera to the sky to capture the breathtaking sight of colours painting the sky in spectacular formations, said: “For the third consecutive year, Katara has been our destination during Eid, especially Eid Al Adha, due to the bearable weather. My two kids used to take giveaways distributed by Katara as souvenirs to refresh their memories about their visit to Qatar.”
Katara will continue to amuse kids by distributing Eidyah every day during Eid starting from 7pm until 8.30pm at the esplanade.
Visitors can also get a glimpse on two exhibitions — ‘Faces’  captured in colour by Qatari artist Ali Ahmad Al Mulllaat and ‘History of Computers’ by Abdulrahman Al Snaidi at Building No. 22.
