Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Interior (MoI) has highlighted a convenient digital service on the Metrash application that enables users to pay visa fees electronically and receive a copy of the visa directly through their registered email address.

The service allows users to complete the visa fee payment process quickly through their mobile devices, providing a convenient alternative to visiting service centres for the transaction.

To pay a visa fee, users can open the Metrash application and select “Visa” from the home screen. They can then tap “Operations”, choose “Pay Visa Fee”, and tap “Continue.” The application will display the relevant visas available to the user. After selecting the required visa, the user can tap “Pay” and choose their preferred payment method to complete the transaction.

Once the payment has been successfully processed, a copy of the visa will be sent directly to the user’s registered email address. This allows users to retain a digital copy of the document and access it when required without having to complete additional procedures. The MoI has encouraged users to benefit from the digital services available through Metrash as part of efforts to make government transactions more accessible, efficient and convenient.

The visa payment facility is among a wide range of services offered through the Metrash platform, which has become an important digital channel for accessing Ministry of Interior services.

The Metrash application provides citizens and residents in Qatar with access to more than 400 services offered by the Ministry of Interior through mobile devices.

The services cover a wide range of areas, including traffic services, citizen services, resident services and visa-related services, allowing users to complete various government transactions remotely and reducing the need for in-person visits.

The application also features an electronic wallet (E-wallet) through which users can access official documents digitally. The feature provides a convenient way of keeping and accessing important documents through mobile devices, supporting the wider shift towards paperless government services.

The expansion of Metrash services reflects Qatar’s continued efforts to strengthen digital government services and simplify procedures for citizens and residents.

By bringing multiple Ministry of Interior transactions together on one mobile platform, Metrash enables users to complete routine procedures more quickly while providing secure access to government services and official documents.

The visa fee payment service, in particular, demonstrates how the platform can streamline a routine government procedure, from selecting the relevant visa and making the payment to receiving a digital copy of the visa by email, all through a few steps on a mobile device.
