Doha, Qatar: Al Rayan Investment LLC (ARI), Qatar’s leading investment and advisory firm, has joined the Gulf Capital Market Association (GCMA). ARI is the first Qatari investment firm to be accepted by the region’s premier investment industry association.
The GCMA serves as the leading voice of the Gulf’s growing capital markets, bringing together leading stakeholders and market infrastructure partners across the region. ARI’s membership reflects the firm’s commitment to contributing to the development of robust, transparent and competitive financial markets across the Gulf.
Akber Khan, Acting Chief Executive Officer of ARI, commented, “We are proud to have become a GCMA member. This reflects ARI’s long-standing focus on working with our partners to further develop GCC capital markets. As the region experiences unprecedented economic transformation, efficient and wellgoverned capital markets play a vital role in mobilising investment and facilitating sustainable growth.”
Michael Grifferty, President of the GCMA, highlighted, “ We are pleased to welcome AlRayan Investment as the first investment firm from Qatar to join GCMA. ARI has established itself as a leading participant in the region’s capital markets, with a strong track record across asset management and corporate advisory. ARI’s deep understanding of the Gulf financial landscape and dedication to market development are extremely valuable to the Association’s work as we continue to promote more integrated and resilient capital markets across the GCC.”
ARI was the first Qatari firm to offer sukuk investments to institutional investors, it manages the largest exchange traded fund listed in Qatar, and the region’s largest Shariah-compliant GCC equity mutual fund. ARI advised on the first QAR corporate sukuk, the first QAR sukuk listed in Qatar and in 2025 advised on more sukuk issuances than any other Qatari firm.
Established in Qatar in 2007, AlRayan Investment is a multi-award-winning investment firm specialising in asset management and corporate advisory. The firm’s asset management platform offers investment solutions across Gulf public equities, global sukuk and money markets, while its advisory practice supports clients on capital raising, IPOs, sukuk issuances, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic advisory. ARI is authorised by the QFC Regulatory Authority and licensed by the Qatar Financial Markets Authority.
Through its participation in GCMA, ARI will collaborate with regional and international market participants on initiatives that especially benefit Qatar’s capital market, strengthening industry standards and encouraging innovation across the financial sector.
