The Public Works Authority, ‘Ashghal’, is in the finishing stages of road works to upgrade a section of Al Rayyan Road and deliver an underpass that will connect Jasim Bin Hamad Street to Al Rayyan Road as part of the Al Rayyan Road Upgrade Phase Two project.
In order to complete the necessary works, Ashghal has announced that it will temporarily close Al Rayyan Flyover connecting 22 February Road and Al Rayyan Road.
The proposed road closure has been designed in coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic. It will commence tomorrow, and will be in place until August 4.
As shown on the attached map, road users travelling southbound on 22 February Road who wish to access Al Rayyan Road are advised to exit on to the service road before Al Rayyan Flyover to join Al Rayyan Roundabout, and then take the third exit on to Al Rayyan Road to continue their journey towards Olympic Roundabout.
‘Ashghal’ advises road users to abide by the reduced speed limit of 50kph and follow newly implemented traffic road signs to ensure their safety.
