Doha: Qatar Armed Forces yesterday signed a contract with Selex ES, the Italian company with experience in command, control and radar systems.

H E Major General Hamad bin Ali Al Attiyah and Italian Defence Minister Roberta Pinotti signed the deal in the presence of Chief of Staff Major General Ghanim bin Shaheen Al Ghanim, Italian Ambassador Guido De Sanctis and other officials.
The firm will supply air traffic control and defence systems to monitor Qatar’s airspace.
Al Attiyah and Pinotti also held talks on bilateral relations and cooperation. ELEX ES is a key partner of the Italian Ministry of Defence. QNA
