Over 7,000 Indonesians in Qatar registered for 2024 elections

Doha: Indonesia’s Overseas Election Committee in Qatar (PPLN Qatar), in a plenary meeting held at the Embassy of Indonesia in Qatar has confirmed that 7,325 Indonesians has been registered for next year election.

The meeting was attended by the Ambassador of Indonesia to Qatar H E Ridwan Hassan and  Indonesia’s Election Supervisory Committee in Qatar (Panwaslu LN).

Ambassador Ridwan Hassan expressed his appreciation to all related parties, including PPLN and Panwaslu LN for their dedication, hard work, and participation in compiling and verifying the voters for next year’s election. “This work is crucial and not easy,” he said.

According to Heri Kartono, Chairperson of PPLN Qatar, out of 7,325 registered voters, there are 4,570 or 62.38% female voters, compared to 2,755 or 37.62% male voters. “This is interesting and again proved that women has played important roles on our election.”
