New York: Major US stock indices opened lower Monday on Wall Street.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 118.5 points, or 0.24 percent, to 49,112.2 points at the open.
The S&P 500 declined 12.4 points, or 0.17 percent, to 7,152.72 points at the start of trading.
The Nasdaq Composite also dropped 37.0 points, or 0.15 percent, to open at 24,799.637 points.
