Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index dropped 115.75 points or 1.13 percent to close at 10,089.86 points yesterday. On the weekly basis, the index lost 151.75 points or 1.48 percent last week.
Trading value during the week increased by 18.63 percent to reach QR1.15bn compared to QR 970m a week ago.
Trading volume decreased by 0.09 percent to reach 45.05 million shares, against 45.09 million shares, while the number of transactions rose by 16.84 percent, to reach 15,968 transactions as compared to 13,667 transactions.
Market capitalisation fell by 1.72 percent to reach QR 542.72bn as compared to QR552.22bn at the end of previous week.
Banking and Financial Services sector led traded value this week with 36.95 percent of the total traded value.
Real Estate sector accounted for 17.41 percent. Telecoms sector accounted for 14.60 percent and Industries sector accounted for 13.72 percent.
