Nakilat profit up 17pc to QR207m

DOHA: Qatar Gas Transport Company (Nakilat) yesterday announced its financial results for the first quarter of 2014, where the company’s net profits reached QR207m up by nearly 17 percent compared to QR177m compared to the corresponding period last year, the company said in a statement yesterday. 
H E Dr Mohamed bin Saleh Al Sada, the Minister of Energy 
and Industry, and the Chairman of Nakilat, said: “The results of the company’s earnings clearly reflect the strong growth of Nakilat’s main business activities of transporting liquefied natural gas (LNG), through the expansion of the company’s business activities to include international markets.”
Dr Al Sada also pointed that Nakilat will continue to pursue any good opportunities to acquire new vessels, and he further highlighted the positive impact of the increased level of activities at the shipyard’s facilities, in 
achieving Nakilat’s strong financial results.
