Doha: As part of its commitment to nurture current and future leaders through developing national as well as international talent, Hamad International Airport (HIA) has partnered with HEC Paris in Qatar to deliver a leadership development programme.

The programme is part of HIA’s ongoing ‘ENJAZ’ initiative, a learning and development initiative exclusively for Qatari staff, and 'QEYADAT', the leadership academy to nurture and develop leadership talent at HIA.

This collaboration will benefit HIA employees by providing customised learning solutions through three key courses that aim to foster career growth and hone employee talent.

Ninety participants benefitting from this collaboration will have the opportunity to learn from highly-customised programmes to understand the key elements that help Qatar’s airport achieve its ambitions as it prepares to welcome global spectators to the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

Esteemed professors from HEC Paris will deliver a series of leadership modules, focused on three core elements: Leading Others, Leading Teams, and Leading Organisation.

In a statement, Abdulaziz Al Mass, Vice-President of Corporate Communications and Marketing at HIA, said, “As the world’s best airport, we have an ongoing responsibility to create an environment that fosters talent and skill development. We are excited to partner with the world-renowned HEC Paris in Qatar to deliver this specialised leadership course.

"This collaboration is a reflection of HIA’s and MATAR’s commitment to “human development”, which is an integral pillar of Qatar National Vision 2030 and our strategic approach.”

Dr. Pablo Martin de Holan, Dean, HEC Paris in Qatar, commented on the collaboration and stated, “In an ever-changing environment, skills should be continuously cultivated. This is what learning does: it takes learners outside of their comfort zone and helps them enhance their existing skills, and develop new ones, in a safe environment. HEC Paris continues to innovate and expand the scope of its customized programs.

"The leadership program is designed to build a culture of excellence, which will be measured by positive experiences of HIA’s various customers and stakeholders.”

This partnership assures to support the leadership development mission that HIA is on, in alignment with HEC Paris’ mission to train women and men to reach their potential as managers and leaders. HIA will continue to build people’s capability towards sustainable growth and development.
