Doha, Qatar: The Department of Da’wah and Religious Guidance at the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs (Awqaf) organised a host of educational and guidance activities in preparation for the holy month of Ramadan.
These activities included distributing 500 copies of the book (the little fasting person) in primary schools in the country, benefiting 160 female students participating in the little fasting person program to raise awareness and guide school students about the importance of fasting during the holy month of Ramadan, and to promote Islamic values and morals in the souls of male and female students in state and private schools.
The activities included 14 lectures targeting primary, preparatory, and secondary levels, as part of the activities of the Marsa program for the holy month of Ramadan, from which more than 500 female students in different educational levels benefited.
These lectures aim to increase awareness of Islamic values and the importance of investing in the month of Ramadan as a season of obedience. These lectures also aim to introduce the rulings of fasting and to introduce the means of steadfastness after Ramadan.
On the sidelines of these activities and lectures, 450 bags containing a variety of educational games were distributed to schoolgirls participating in the Marsa programme.
