The Advisory Council held yesterday its regular weekly meeting during its 45th ordinary session under the chairmanship of Speaker H E Mohamed bin Mubarak Al Khulaifi. At the outset of the meeting, the Secretary General Fahad bin Mubarak Al Khayareen read the agenda, which was approved before the council ratified the minutes of its previous meeting.
The Council discussed the report of the Financial and Economic Affairs Committee on the draft law regulating subsidised goods and decided to submit its recommendations thereon to the Council of Ministers.
Meanwhile, the Advisory Council's Services and Public Utilities Committee met yesterday during the 45th ordinary session under its Rapporteur Saqr Fahd Al-Meraikhi.
The committee continued its examination of a draft law regulating the supply of electricity and water. The committee decided to invite Minister of Energy and Industry H E Dr Mohammed bin Saleh Al Sada to attend the next meeting to offer his views on the draft law.
