Munkustrap, the principal narrator character in the musical Cats playing from February 1 to 4 at Qatar National Convention Center as part of the Shop Qatar 2017 festival.
The original production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s record-breaking musical Cats will be staged at the Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC) from February 1 to 4 as part of the Shop Qatar 2017 festival.
The show is brought by Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA) and organised by Broadway Entertainment Group and SES.

The Broadway musical, Cats, comes as a welcome addition to the festival’s colourful live entertainment schedule, offering a rich array of cultural shows, performances by singing sensations and unlimited family-friendly entertainment.”
Adapted from T S Elliot’s ‘Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats’, this wonderful blend of fantasy, drama and romance is set on the night that the Jellicle Cats meet for the Jellicle Ball in a sparkling fusion of music, dance and verse.
The show features an amazing musical score that includes the timeless “Memory”, spectacular set designs, stunning costumes and breath-taking choreography.

This original production is one of the longest-running shows in West End and Broadway history. Seen by over 73 million people worldwide, Cats has enchanted audiences in over 300 cities around the world.

Cats held its world premiere at the New London Theatre in 1981 where it played for almost 9,000 performances.
The classic Lloyd Webber score includes “Memory”, which has been recorded by over 150 artists from Barbra Streisand and Johnny Mathis to Liberace.
