The Ministry of Economy and Commerce said yesterday that four car dealers have complied with the Ministerial Decision no 418 of 2016 on licensing garages that are not under their ownership. These dealers are Al Boraq Automobile, dealers of Porsche, Al Hamad Automobiles (Chery, Tata, Jac), El Naael Company (SsangYong) and Ibin Ajayan Trading Company (Skoda, Seat). The move aims to curb the increasing maintenance services by allowing vehicle owners to repair their new cars under warranty in authorised garages, that are not affiliated to the car dealers.
