Doha, Qatar: In its commitment to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment for students during examination and to promote greater flexibility for teachers, the Ministry of Education and Higher Education has issued a new circular regulating work in public schools during the examinations.
The circular outlines several key measures aimed at improving exam-day procedures, ensuring high-quality grading and review processes, and facilitating smoother school operations. These include allowing students to leave immediately after completing their exams, ensuring timely completion of correction and certification procedures, and guaranteeing strict quality standards in grading.
Additionally, the circular permits school staff to leave up to two hours before the end of the official workday. It also emphasizes that early-leave hours granted under this circular cannot be combined with reduced-working-hours benefit granted to nursing mothers. It further added that early leave hours must not exceed two hours per day except when prior approval is obtained.
