Doha, Qatar: Minister of Finance, H E Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari, headed the Qatari delegation participating at the seventh edition of the Future Investment Initiative (FII) Forum, held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The three-day event, 24 - 26 October, will witness the participation and presence of world leaders, major industrial companies, investors, innovators, and policymakers.
As part of his participation, the Minister of Finance attended several dialogue sessions about investments that aim to achieve the greatest benefit to humanity. The sessions also discussed nurturing and enabling ideas to solve the world’s most urgent challenges through advanced and sustainable technologies.
Several government officials, along with the private sector and academia from around the world, will participate in the forum to discuss multiple relevant topics—including artificial intelligence, education, healthcare, robotics, and sustainability—to make a positive impact on humanity.
Under this year’s theme, “The New Compass,” the FII Forum is deemed a powerful platform to discuss different topics, including the macroeconomic challenges the world is facing nowadays.
On the sidelines of FII Forum, Minister of Finance also met with Governor of the Public Investment Fund, H E Yasir Othman Al Rumayyan and President and CEO of Mizuho Bank Group, Masahiro Kihara.
Topics pertaining to mutual interests, particularly in the financial and economic fields, were discussed during the meeting, as well as measures aimed at broadening the scope of joint efforts.
