Doha: Strong Northwesterly winds will lash Qatar during the day from Thursday, September 29, till Saturday, September 1.
Qatar Meteorology Department said that the wind speed will range between 15 - 25 KT and at some places it will reach up to 35 KT at times. This is expected to blow dust and visibility may reduce to 2 km or less especially in open areas and sea waves will rise to 8-10/ 13ft.
The temperature is expected to dip during this period. The maximum temperature will be between 36 - 38 °C and minimum between 26 - 29 °C in different parts of the country.
Qatar Meteorology Department urged all residents to be cautious and avoid venturing into sea during strong winds.
