Doha: As part of arrangements for the launch of 2021-2022 season Ooredoo Cup, the Qatar Stars League (QSL) held the tournament’s Technical Meeting at its headquarters in Al Bidda Tower yesterday.
The meeting was attended by Ahmed Abdullah Al Sayed, Head of Football Operations at the QSL, Jassim Al Hail, representative of the Referees Department of Qatar Football Association, and representatives of the participating clubs.
Matters discussed at the meeting included, organizational procedures and features of the tournament, held in a group format from where the top two teams from each group qualify for the semi-finals, guidelines and procedures for match-day operations, where emphasis was given on the need to adhere to the approved health protocols against the COVID-19 pandemic as well as the determination of kits and jersey colours of each team.
