Doha: The countdown to the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 is in full swing.

In just over 450 days, Qatar will proudly welcome millions of football fans to the first-ever FIFA World Cup in the Middle East that’s set to break boundaries and make history.

As the country embarks on the final preparations and finishing touches of one of the biggest sporting events in the world, Qatar’s National Team (Al Annabi) is also preparing for their FIFA World Cup debut - led by Head Coach Félix Sánchez.

One of the team’s latest successes was their participation as a guest nation in last month’s 2021 Concacaf Gold Cup, where Al Annabi successfully progressed to the semi-finals against the USA and narrowly lost the match 1-0.  beIN Media Group’s flagship sports channel beIN Sports were given rare access to Qatar team on their inaugural Concacaf Gold Cup journey, that captured the behind-the-scenes action, humorous moments, locker room chat, exclusive interviews and so much more in a unique and exclusive documentary.

Titled "Al Annabi at the Gold Cup", the exclusive documentary will be broadcast on beIN Sports Premium 1 channel in Arabic tomorrow at 21:30 Mecca.

The one-hour documentary will showcase the team’s journey in detail across their five Gold Cup games as well as exclusive interviews with the national team players, Rashid bin Abdulla Al Dehaimi, the Consulate General of the State of Qatar in Houston, Texas, the Qatar Football Association, proud Qatari fans in the USA and more.

The entire production of Al Annabi at the Gold Cup was also fully composed by beIN’s talented team.

Creator and executive producer Ali Al Sharshani, said:“The Gold Cup was just one of several mammoth milestones for Al Annabi as they get ready to play in their first-ever FIFA World Cup. As the host nation’s National Team, the pressure is very much heating up and this competition was a great opportunity for them to prepare for next year’s momentous tournament. I’d like to thank the QFA and the National Team for providing us with the unique access and would also like to congratulate Al Annabi for reaching the semi-finals and showcasing the strength of Qatari football to the world."

The Gold Cup is the main association football competition which determines the continental champion of North America, Central America, and the Caribbean. This year’s edition took place in nine cities in the USA July 10- August 1.
