Doha, Qatar: Building on its ongoing efforts to strengthen behavioural awareness across the community, Daam Behavioral Healthcare Center has highlighted the success of its latest digital awareness campaign featuring a series of educational videos designed to promote positive and sustainable behaviours among children and adolescents.

Speaking in an interview with Qatar TV recently, Andalous Ibrahim, Community Awareness Officer at Daam Behavioral Healthcare Center, said the initiative is part of the center’s annual awareness and prevention strategy and reflects its commitment to addressing behavioural issues through modern, engaging communication methods.

The campaign comprises six educational videos developed using a scientifically informed and media-driven approach tailored to the interests and digital habits of children and adolescents.

“The primary objective of the campaign is to raise behavioural awareness among children and adolescents while reinforcing positive and sustainable behaviours,” Ibrahim said. “Promoting these values has always been, and continues to be, one of the center’s key priorities.”

She noted that producing educational content that appeals to younger audiences presents a challenge, prompting the center to adopt creative and interactive storytelling techniques that combine learning with engagement.

To make the videos more relatable, Daam Behavioral Healthcare Center involved Qatari families, bringing together parents and children in role-playing scenarios based on everyday situations. Participants discussed common behavioural issues through interactive questions, allowing the production team to capture the perspectives of both generations.

According to Ibrahim, the initiative also aims to strengthen family dialogue by encouraging parents and children to understand each other’s viewpoints and communicate through constructive discussions based on mutual respect and the exchange of ideas.

“The videos seek to narrow the gap between generations by highlighting how parents and children often perceive the same situations differently,” she said. “At the same time, they promote a culture of dialogue within the family.”

The awareness videos have been published on the center’s social media platforms, where they have attracted strong public engagement, positive feedback and high viewership.

Daam Behavioral Healthcare Center works to promote behavioural health across the community by helping children and young people develop the skills needed to cope with behavioural challenges and overcome behavioural disorders. The center is committed to delivering effective awareness, treatment, rehabilitation and training services through a multidisciplinary team of highly qualified specialists in behavioural and cognitive therapy.

Its therapeutic and rehabilitation services are provided by an integrated team that includes physicians, psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, nurses and self-help counsellors. Alongside treatment, the center organises lectures, awareness campaigns, preventive programmes and educational activities while producing written and visual content to support behavioural health education.

The center also conducts research and field studies on behavioural health to strengthen evidence-based practices and improve services. Its work is guided by principles that emphasise the privacy and confidentiality of cases, comprehensive treatment planning and scientifically proven therapeutic approaches. Treatment follows a structured process beginning with case assessment and diagnosis, followed by the development and implementation of an individual treatment plan, continuous follow-up, rehabilitation and support for successful reintegration into society.

Ibrahim encouraged parents, families and young people to watch the videos and share their opinions, stressing that community participation helps enhance the effectiveness of the center’s awareness initiatives and contributes to fostering healthier behavioural development among future generations.
