Qatar participated in the 20th meeting of the Governing Board of the Global Community Engagement and Resilience Fund (GCERF), held yesterday in Geneva, Switzerland. Special Envoy of the Minister of Foreign Affairs H E Ambassador Faisal bin Abdullah Al Hanzab chaired the Qatari delegation at the meeting. In his address to the meeting, he highlighted that Qatar is one of the largest donors to the fund since its inception, pointing to its diligent efforts and initiatives aimed at addressing the root causes that fuel violent extremism. He also pointed out Qatar’s role in supporting fragile communities in partnership with the GCERF and member states.
