Doha: In collaboration with the Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs, the Centre for Empowerment and Care of the Elderly (Ehsan) honoured the winners of the Ehsan Quran competition for the elderly. The competition saw the participation of 300 elderly people, out of which 38 male and female winners emerged.
Head of the awareness and community outreach department at Ehsan Centre Sheikha Ahmed Al Hareeb said that the competition contributed to participants’ spirituality, connecting them with their religion and its teachings, in addition to stimulating their memory and developing their skills, among others.
