Doha, Qatar, 26 June 2023: From sport and storytelling to arts, culture, and technology, there is something on offer for everyone at Qatar Foundation’s Education City this summer.
Activities for children and people of all ages will be taking place throughout July and August within Education City’s open, inclusive, and welcoming environment, providing visitors to Qatar Foundation (QF) with opportunities for both learning, community interaction, fitness, and fun.

Full details of everything that is available to register for and explore at Education City during the summer can be found at www.qf.org.qa/events and www.educationcity.qa, and here are just some of the highlights:
• Eid Al-Adha Prayer at the Education City Stadium, hosted by QF’s Minaretein Center: 5.01am on 28 July, followed by an Eid Celebration with family activities until 9am.
• Eid Al-Adha Festival at Al Shaqab, featuring the Arabian horse parade, horse rides, vaulting class, archery, lead rein classes, a toy shop, and children’s workshops and arts and craft classes: from 4pm on 29 June to 8pm on 1 July in Al Shaqab’s Longines Arena (entrance free, fees apply to activities).
• Ladies Night at the Education City Stadium, offering sport and fitness activities for women and girls, as well as boys aged nine years and under: 6-10pm on 19 July and 23 August. Visit www.educationcity.qa or the Education City App for more details.
• Sporting facilities at Multaqa (Education City Student Center), including its bowling alley: open from 7am-9.30pm every day.
• Sporting facilities at QF’s Recreation Center, Awsaj Recreation, Education City Clubhouse, Qatar Academy Al Khor, and Qatar Academy Al Wakra: open from 6am-10pm every day.
• QF Swimming Camp, run with H20 Swim Club and open to everyone aged up to 55 years: Awsaj Recreation – 3-7.30pm, 2 July-2 September; Qatar Academy Msheireb – 9-11am 2 July-3 August; QF Recreation Center – 3-8.15pm, 2-26 July.
• QF Basketball Camp at Qatar Academy for Science and Technology Basketball Court, run with QB Hoops: 4-5pm every Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday (8-12 years); 5-6pm every Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday (13-17 years).
• Ladies Only Multi-Sports Camp, run with Sports Lab (for ages six years and above): 1 July-13 August; Futsal, volleyball, and basketball at Multaqa from 1-5pm, 13 July-10 August (every Thursday); 3x3 basketball at Multaqa from 1-3pm. and beach volleyball at Oxygen Park from 6-8pm.
• QF Summer Football Camp, run with Future Sports (for ages 6-17 years): 9am-2pm until 29 June and from 20-24 August at Multaqa; 9am-2pm at Awsaj Recreation from 2-6 July and 9-13 July; 4-6.15pm at Qatar Academy Sidra from 2 July-17 August.
• Summer Explorers Camp (for ages 3-10 years): 8am-1pm every Sunday-Thursday from 2 July-24 August at the Education City Clubhouse. Each week will have a different theme, including Health is Wealth, Sports, Arts and Craft, and Eco-Friendly Week.
• Mukhaymna Summer Camp (for ages 7-15 years; separate camps for girls and boys): 23 July-9 August, fee QAR3,300 (QAR2,500 for early bird registration).
• QF Ability Friendly Program Summer Camp 2023 (for ages 5-20 years) at Education City: Camp 1 from 9-20 July, Camp 2 from 23 July-3 August, 10am-3pm all days, fee QAR1,000.
• Summer Reading Challenge at Qatar National Library, with Little Thinking Minds: 1 July-20 August.
• Chess Club at Qatar National Library (Arabic and English): 29 June, 3-5pm; 13 July, 3-6pm; 20 July, 3-6pm; 27 July, 3-6pm.
• Summer Camp for Children and Young Adults at Qatar National Library: 16 July-24 August.
• Children’s Summer Program 2023 – Little Makers: Outer Space, at Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts in Qatar (for ages 6-8 years): 9-13 July, 10am-2pm.
• Summer Children’s Program 2023: Stop Motion Animation 3D/2D and Sounds, at Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts in Qatar (for ages 9-12 years): 18-27 July, 10am-2pm.
