Director of Department of Endowments Dr. Sheikh Khalid bin Muhammad Al Thani inaugurating endowment villas in Al Thumama.
Doha: The Department of Endowments at the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs inaugurated seven new residential villas from the endowment of Ahmed bin Abdullah bin Ali Al Misnad near Al Thumama Stadium.
Director of Department of Endowments Dr. Sheikh Khalid bin Muhammad Al Thani said that Ahmed bin Abdullah bin Ali Al Misnad is considered one of the largest philanthropists in Qatar.
“The new endowment constitutes the third project for the generous endowment launched this year. It consists of 7 villas of two floors and a penthouse, with a land area of 2,088 sqm, and the built-up area of the project is 2,102 sqm,” said Dr. Khalid.
He said that each villa consists of a ground floor containing a reception hall, a bedroom and a kitchen with services.
“The first floor contains three bedrooms with its services. The rooftop contains a bedroom with its services. The project also contains parking lots and services,” said Dr. Khalid. He said that other endowments given by the philanthropist include Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Misnad complex near Hamad Hospital, and 24 residential villas were recently opened in Hazm Al Markhiya area.
For his part, Ali bin Ahmed Al Misnad praised the efforts of the Department of Endowments and the hard work that resulted in the opening of his father’s endowment villas in Al Thumama area within a short period.
Saad bin Ahmed Al Misnad also expressed his happiness at the inauguration of the new endowment project for his father. “We are happy to see that the Department of Endowments built these seven villas and furnished them,” he added.
