Amman: Minister of Sports and Youth H E Salah bin Ghanem Al Ali met separately with a number of international officials, on the sidelines of the Regional Summit for Arab States, concerned with education, skills, social and economic integration of youth in Amman, Jordan.
The Minister met with Under-Secretary-General and Associate Administrator of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) H E Usha Rao-Munari. The meeting reviewed relations between the two sides and a number of issues of common interest.
The Minister of Sports and Youth also met with Regional Director of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Dr. Luay Shabaneh, in the presence of a number of the Fund’s officials. The two sides discussed issues of common interest and ways to enhance and support the cooperation to empower youth.
During the meeting, Dr. Shabana valued the important role played by the State of Qatar in youth work, and its distinction in the presence of active and elected youth energies, calling for sharing these unique experiences and models with Arab and regional countries.
The Minister of Sports and Youth also met with Unicef Deputy Executive Director for Partnerships, Karin Hulshof, in the presence of a number of officials from the organisation.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed a number of issues aimed at continuing and supporting the existing cooperation between the two sides.
