Foreign Ministry’s Secretary-General H E Dr Ahmed bin Hassan Al Hammadi held yesterday separate meetings with the ambassadors of Russia's Nurmakhamad Kholov, Germany's Hans-Udo Muzel, United Kingdom's Ajay Sharma, China's Li Chen, France's Eric Chevallier and Italy's Pasquale Salzano.
During the meetings, the Secretary-General briefed the ambassadors on the incident of hacking the official website of Qatar News Agency and the legal measures and procedures that Qatar will take following the completion of the investigation to prosecute the perpetrators of the terrible electronic piracy crime.
For their part, the ambassadors expressed full solidarity with Qatar in the face of such cybercrime. The ambassadors voiced their countries’ readiness to cooperate with Qatar in the investigation of this cybercrime within the framework of international cooperation in such crimes.
