Doha, Qatar: Marriott Business Council Qatar successfully concluded the 2026 edition of “Ride for Education”, recently at Sheraton Grand Doha Resort & Convention Hotel, in partnership with the Qatar Cycling Federation and Qatar Cyclists Centre and brought together hotel teams, cycling enthusiasts, partners, and members of the public in support of Education Above All (EAA) Foundation’s international education programmes.
The event formed part of Road to Awareness, Marriott International’s annual associate fundraising initiative across the Middle East and Africa, and reflected the hospitality sector’s continued commitment to social responsibility and community engagement. Participants took part in a collective cycling experience that combined physical activity with a shared humanitarian purpose.
Proceeds from Ride for Education 2026 will support Education Above All (EAA) Foundation’s international education programmes, which focus on expanding access to quality education, particularly primary education, for children from disadvantaged and marginalised communities, supporting the reintegration of out-of-school children into formal education, and strengthening learning continuity in contexts facing complex social and economic challenges.
Commenting on the success of the event, Resource Mobilisation Executive Director at Education Above All Foundation, Parintaj Sulaiman said that the strong turnout and collective engagement reflect the importance of community-driven partnerships in advancing education in fragile and underserved contexts.
She noted that directing the proceeds of the event towards EAA’s global education programmes will contribute to expanding access to education for children from low-income families, supporting their learning continuity, and helping break cycles of poverty over the long term.
She added that investment in education remains one of the most effective pathways to building resilient and stable societies, expressing appreciation for the partnership with Marriott Business Council Qatar, Qatar Cyclists Centre, and the Qatar Cycling Federation, and for their role in the success of the initiative.
