Doha, Qatar: The British Chamber of Commerce Qatar (BCCQ) will officially mark the beginning of a new chapter for the UK–Qatar business community with a ‘Welcome Event’ taking place on Tuesday 27 January 2026, from 08:00 to 10:00, at JW Marriott Marquis City Center Doha, Ballroom 1.

As 2025 drew to a close, the Qatar British Business Forum (QBBF) successfully completed its transition to become the British Chamber of Commerce Qatar, positioning the organisation as a fully fledged and operational Chamber aligned with the global British Chambers of Commerce network.

The welcome event will bring together long-standing QBBF members alongside new BCCQ members, partners, and invited guests, providing an opportunity to reconnect with the business community and outline the Chamber’s vision and priorities for 2026 and beyond.

The British Chamber of Commerce Qatar is honoured to announce that His Majesty’s Ambassador to Qatar, H E Neerav Patel, who also serves as Honorary President of BCCQ, will be in attendance and will address guests during the event.

Commenting ahead of the event, the Chamber highlighted that becoming part of the British Chambers of Commerce global network connects members in Qatar to an extensive international business ecosystem, creating new opportunities for collaboration, trade, and growth.

BCCQ will also continue to work closely with the Department for Business and Trade at the British Embassy in Doha, supporting its mission to strengthen bilateral trade and investment between the United Kingdom and Qatar.

The event will focus on reconnecting business leaders and members of the UK–Qatar community, sharing BCCQ’s strategic vision and priorities for 2026 and beyond, outlining how the Chamber will support its members locally and internationally, celebrating the start of this new chapter as a Chamber of Commerce, early responses from British companies, organisations, and professionals in Qatar have been highly encouraging, reflecting strong support for the Chamber’s transition and its role in connecting excellence across the UK–Qatar business landscape.

The British Chamber of Commerce Qatar looks forward to welcoming members and guests to this milestone event and to an exciting year ahead.
