The Qatar Meteorology Department has forecast foggy conditions early this morning and also poor visibility in some places.
The foggy weather is due to increased humidity since last evening. High humidity exceeding 80 percent was observed at places last evening, increasing the chances for mist to fog formation over most areas early morning, the MET Department posted on their social media sites.
However, the fog would clear as the day progresses. The day will be partly cloudy and misty with moderate temperature during day time and relatively cold by night, according to the bureau
“The visibility would be down to 1 km at some places if foggy or it would range from 3 to 5 km early morning due to misty conditions,” Abdullah Mohammed Al Mannai, Acting Director of the Department of Meteorology, Civil Aviation Authority, told The Peninsula.
In a routine forecast for today, the bureau said hazy to misty conditions conditions will be there offshore with some clouds as well. The sea will be clam with no windy conditions inshore or offshore. Easterly to southeasterly wind will be moving inshore at speeds of three to 12 knots.
Offshore, northeasterly to southeasterly wind will be moving at speeds of three to 12 knots by afternoon. Day temperatures will vary from 24 to 27 degrees C, while nightly mercury levels will be 15 to 18 degrees.
