The National Committee for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings has announced that Qatar will host the 5th Interpol Global Conference on Human Trafficking, from 4 to 7 December.
The conference, which is attended by Interpol member states, international experts and personalities, as well as a number of international organizations concerned, highlights the global developments in this regard and reviews the policies and procedures adopted by countries to combat human trafficking.
The National Committee for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings held its regular meeting this evening, chaired by HE Minister of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs, Dr. Issa bin Saad Al Jafali Al Nuaimi, who is also the Chairman of the Committee, in the presence of members of the concerned authorities in the State.
The meeting reviewed the measures taken by the State of Qatar to combat trafficking in human beings at the local and international levels. On the sidelines of the meeting, the date of the conference and its sessions were set.
