Building on its impressive performance in the first half of the year, Alfardan Automobiles is well on track for another successful year-end in Qatar with a reported 19 percent growth in BMW and MINI sales for the first nine months of the year.
“We are extremely pleased with our 2012 results to date. Our business continues to grow, which is due to the combination of a strong economic climate, a growing portfolio of desirable premium BMW Group vehicles, and the ongoing commitment and professionalism of our staff, said Mohammad Kandeel, General Manager of Alfardan Automobiles.
“However, we will not allow success to make us complacent. We will continue with the same dedication and stamina to ensure that we end 2012 with more car sales than in 2011,” he added.
The company’s results during the first nine months of the year were driven by the brand’s flagship model BMW 7 Series, as the highest selling model.
The BMW 5 Series, BMW X5 Sports Activity Vehicle and X6 Sports Activity Coupé were also popular models with 60 percent, 12 percent and 24 percent growth respectively, while the BMW 3 Series grew by 24 percent.
MINI witnessed a 25 percent sales growth during the first nine months of 2012. Sales were led by the MINI Countryman – the first MINI with four doors and four wheel drive capabilities.
Looking ahead to the remainder of the year, Kandeel added, “With our January-September results setting the pace for another successful year, we have an overall record for 2012 firmly in our sight. Customers in Qatar believe in the BMW Group brands, and as such, we will continue to invest in our staff and customer services. We will also further grow our product portfolio with the launch of new and refined models, such as the latest generation 7 Series which is now on sale.” The Peninsula
