MoI organises Eid Al Adha celebrations

DOHA: Large number of families and single workers took part in comprehensive celebrations organized by the Ministry of Interior for expatriate communities to mark Eid Al Adha yesterday. 
Many living in Al Khor and Ras Laffan and members of the Nepalese community enjoyed a mega cultural event at Barwa Workers Recreation Complex in Al Khor Industrial Area. 
Events for the Indian and Sri Lankan communities were also held yesterday. The ministry celebrations continue today between 5pm and 10pm.
Individual cultural events were organised for separate communities at different locations, activities unique for every country. 
Activities for the Indian community were held at MES Indian School Open Theatre in Mesaimeer, which attracted many families and single workers. 
Variety of events were held representing the cultural and linguistic diversity of India. Events, including songs and dances, for the Sri Lankan community were held at Sri Lankan School.
Activities for the Pakistan community will be held at Wakra Sports Club Indoor Football Stadium today between 5pm and 10pm. 
Many Pakistani artists and singers based in Dubai will perform, including Afshan Zebi, Noorjahan and Usman Bangesh. 
They will perform in Urdu, Pashto, Punjabi, Persian, Balochi and Saraiki languages. A special comedy show will be held by popular Pakistani comedian Khawaja Masood. Events for the Bangladeshi community will be held tomorrow at Wakra Sports Club Indoor Stadium. Bangla artists will perform traditional dances and songs in different languages.
