Officials during the inauguration of new endowment project.
Doha: The General Administration of Endowments at the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs recently inaugurated a new endowment project.
The endowment project is a furnished apartment building from the benefactor Saad bin Mohammed Al Kaabi.
The building has three floors, comprising nine apartments. based on the condition of the Waqf registered in his endowment argument.
The endowment is under the umbrella of the endowment bank for the service of the Qur’an and Sunnah, which aims to achieve a number of goals, including establishing centres for teaching the holy Qur’an, encouraging science students to learn the book of Allah and studying the Sunnah, printing and distributing the holy Qur’an and translating its meanings and books, Sunnah and its sciences, organising symposiums, conferences and competitions, and coordinating with the relevant official and civil bodies to implement joint programmes in this regard.
Dr. Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed Al Thani, Director General of the General Administration of Endowments, said that the General Administration of Endowments seeks, through the development and reconstruction of endowments, to keep pace with the development plans in force in the country to achieve sustainable endowment development.
