Doha, Qatar: The Indian Business & Professionals Council (IBPC) Qatar hosted a special edition of its flagship Monday Bites series on 22 June 2026, bringing together business leaders, professionals, entrepreneurs, and emerging talent for an evening that celebrated leadership, knowledge-sharing, artificial intelligence, and the enduring strength of India–Qatar relations.
The event was attended by H E Shri Vipul, Ambassador of India to the State of Qatar and Patron of IBPC Qatar, whose presence added special significance to the gathering as he enters the final weeks of his diplomatic assignment in Qatar.
The programme commenced on a solemn note, with participants observing a one-minute silence in memory of those who lost their lives in the recent Ras Laffan incident. The gathering paid tribute to the deceased and expressed its heartfelt condolences to their families, colleagues, and loved ones.
Welcoming the audience, Thaha Muhammed Abdul Kareem, President of IBPC Qatar, highlighted the importance of continuous learning, leadership development, innovation, and community engagement in an increasingly dynamic global environment. He also acknowledged the Ambassador’s steadfast support for the Indian community and his significant contribution to advancing India–Qatar relations during his tenure.

Addressing the gathering, H E Shri Vipul reflected on the remarkable progress achieved in India–Qatar relations over the past three years and shared his perspectives on the expanding opportunities for collaboration between the two countries. He highlighted the growing momentum across trade, investment, energy, technology, innovation, education, and people-to-people engagement, while emphasising the importance of continued cooperation in strengthening the strategic partnership between India and Qatar.
The interactive session that followed provided members with a valuable opportunity to engage directly with the Ambassador, exchange views, and gain insights into the evolving bilateral relationship and its future potential.
