Funding opportunities for women-led climate action: US embassy in Qatar

Doha: The US Embassy in Qatar has released a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) inviting non-profit organisations and individuals to propose projects that tackle the climate crisis and specifically emphasise the involvement and contributions of women and girls.

The programme aims to combat climate change by empowering women to lead initiatives in the fields of clean energy, sustainable agriculture, recycling, upcycling, combatting disinformation, environmental activism, and educational programmes on the climate crisis.

 Priority audience for this programme include projects that will benefit Qatari women and girls, especially those living in rural and remote areas.

 Applicants should have considerable experience in the implementation of the proposed activities and previous experience of working with Qatari audience is preferable. The deadline for applications is July 21.
