Sheikh Thani bin Abdullah Foundation for Humanitarian Services (RAF) hosted more than 1,000 fasting people from Bangladeshi expatriate community on Iftar at Al Arabi Sports Club.
A number of religious, awareness and entertainment programme were also held at the venue.
The event was attended by representatives from RAF and Bangladesh expatriates’ council.
Qasimuddin a representative of Bangladesh expatriate community appreciated RAF for creating opportunity to Bangladeshi citizens to get together.
“RAF always support Bangladeshi expatriates in Qatar and we are very grateful to them for holding Iftar programme,” said Qasimuddin.
“RAF created opportunity for us to interact with Bangladeshi expatriate community,” said Lieutenant Abdul Wahid Al Anzi from Traffic Awareness Unit of Public Relations at General Traffic Department at the Ministry of Interior (MOI).
“MOI participate such porgramme to interact with various expatriate community in a bid to aware them about traffic rules and regulation.”
“In this programme we delivered lecturers on traffic law to educate motorists what they should comply while driving,” he added.
