SCH magazine offers guide to encourage healthy eating

DOHA: The latest edition of the Supreme Council of Health’s (SCH) magazine Qatar Health focuses on nutrition guide to encourage healthy eating habits among the people.
It includes a report about nutrition guide indicator in Qatar and an interview with Sheikha Dr Al Anoud Al Thani, Director, Health Promotion and Non-Communicable Diseases, SCH. 
She explains about nutrition guide indicators, the current status of the project and its achievements since its launch. 
It is the eighth edition of the quarterly bilingual magazine in English and Arabic. 
It aims primarily to raise health awareness and serve the National Health Strategy 2016. The latest edition includes reports, news and interviews. 
Hamad bin Jassim Al Hamar, Director, Public Relations, SCH and Editor-in-Chief of the magazine, says in his editorial that the aim is to enhance healthy lifestyle in society which is one of the major challenges for ensuring sustainable health in Qatar. 
The magazine also has information about Qatar Bio Bank and its research initiatives. 
It contains a special report on SCH efforts to promote health services among workers and safety at work sites. It also includes symptoms of heat exhaustion and ways of protection. 
The annual report of SCH in the latest edition includes detailed information about reforms being implemented by the council and its partners in the health sector. 
The magazine highlights how people with diabetes can live healthy by following correct eating and living habits. It has a section on  symptoms, risk factors and first aid for stroke and advises people on how to prevent a stroke. The Peninsula
